Dream Team: Every Single Girl Needs One

Have you ever had a friend that is always single, she ain't never in a relationship, but for some reason her lonely, bitter ass can always come and tell you how to run yours?

Well, I am that Bitch!

But the thing is, I GIVE GREAT ADVICE. Why? Because I am Every Guy's Best Friend. I wrote in a previous post called
"Fat Girl's Are A Man's Best Friend" that after years of being cool with every guy on the planet, I have been given the pleasure of learning the inner-workings of men. See, many women only interact with men they have intimate relationships with, or men they want to have an intimate relationship with in the future. Most of my girls do not have the advantage of having a strictly platonic best male friend. Well, I have too many of them. Maybe it's because my weight has allowed a great deal of men to love me without being attracted to me (so they said), or maybe it's because I am just a cool ass chick. Nevertheless I am so happy that I KNOW men. In all honestly, men are really not that complicated.

Give Him Love, Loyalty & Respect
Give Him Head & Amazing Sex
Give Him A Great Meal
Give Him Space

See.... that's easy, right? WRONG! The hardest part for many women is the idea of "space". But this could easily be corrected if women took the time and made space for more than one man in their life.

I've recently come to a startling conclusion. Most women DO NOT know how to date! Especially black women. Now, before you get an attitude, hear me out.

So many women meet a guy, like him, have sex with him (too soon) then a month later ask him "where is this going?" They get caught up into one guy without really taking the time to explore all of their options. There are so many beautiful men in the world (and ugly ones with money). Why do so many women LIMIT themselves to One Guy? It's cool to want a serious, committed, monogamous relationship. Ultimately I want one of those too. But in the meantime, why not have FUN with a bunch of different guys? What is so wrong with dating multiple men?

In my opinion, all SINGLE women should be dating at least 5 guys at a time. Its does not matter if you are beautiful, ugly, short, fat, skinny, tall. All women are sexy to SOMEBODY! Now, find 4 more and you are on your way!

Let's be clear...I said DATE! I do not mean go out and start sleeping with 5 different guys (only a hoe like me can pull that off). In my opinion, dating is when two people spend time together, doing a range of activities that allow them to get to know each other over a period of time--possibly to begin a romantic relationship. It is clear that you two may want to be more than friends, so you DATE to see if you want to make that happen.

The NBA FINALS have inspired me! This summer I am putting together my DREAM TEAM. Every single girl needs one! Personally, I am putting together a Championship Team...a wonderful group of 5 men that will occupy my time! A Championship team has players that know their individual roles and do their jobs without trying to do other people's jobs. As the coach it is my responsibility to make sure that these guys understand their purpose. Phil Jackson has won 9 championships, and I have learned a lot from him over the years. Below is my STARTING FIVE. It's up to each woman to put her own team together.

Small Forward
---------------------
The Corporate Dude
NBA Inspiration: LaBron James

For my Franchise Player, I have chosen a white collar, "corporate dude" to be my small forward. He is an all around player. He can score, he can pass, and he can rebound. Out of all of the men I am dating, his resume is the most impressive. The thing is, he is in high demand. He's young, black, successful, extremely attractive, well educated, and cultured----the perfect guy to build my team around. Unfortunately, he is aware that he is a "good catch" and will use it to his advantage. Like most Franchise players, my "corporate dude" knows his value. He is a "prima-dona" and will most certainly demand a good contract on the open market. It is also hard to re-sign him when he becomes a free agent. A franchise player has the confidence that he will probably not be traded or released, which can make dating him difficult. But, as long as he is aware that there is always a new young recruit coming to take his spot, he should be cool. Also, I will make sure that I am HIS Franchise player on the team that he is building, because trust me, his has one.

Shooting Guard
-----------------------
Young Tender

NBA Inspiration: Dewayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson

He shoots. He scores. He's Young & Tender. Call me a Cougar, Call me a Puma, call me whatever you want ---but ALL single women should have a younger man on the team. He Shoots: Young Tender is fun, he's exciting, he's baggage free and he is not intimidated by your success. He Scores: The Sex with Young Tender is amazing, and what he does not know, he is more than willing to learn. There's no waiting for him to get it back up....it's on multiple times in one night! And another plus is that he can keep you occupied sexually so that you are not tempted to give it up to other members on the team too fast.

Center
======
Sugar Daddy
NBA Inspiration: Joakim Noah

When it comes to basketball, you can't coach height...which means we all know that the only reason why some guys get in the league is because they are tall as hell. Same for the Sugar Daddy---you mess with him for one reason only..he has money and loves to spend it. As the Center, a Sugar Daddy is low maintenance....you do not have to run plays for him or give him the ball too much. But he will rebound, contribute by playing defense and getting the hustle points and second chance points. If a bill needs to be paid, or my car needs new tires, Sugar Daddy will come to the rescue. I would never ask him to shoot any "free throws' but yes to a jump ball! My Sugar Daddy is the foundation and anchor for the team. He keeps me financially happy!

Power Forward

============

The Blue Collar Dude aka The Basic N*gga
NBA Inspiration: Kevin Garnett

He is a hard hat/lunch bucket kind of guy. He comes to work everyday, gives you a solid effort---he is going to put in the work and not complain. The Blue Collar guy gets rebounds, he plays defense....not flashy... just an all around working guy. I love this guy because he is also great for things that I call "man jobs". He takes out the garbage, he fixes things around the house, takes you car in to get service, screams on you if you do not get an oil change. He's a real man! He works so hard that you love to cook him an amazing meal. Now, a Fed-Ex guy is great for this position, but this summer I will go for a police officer. Every single chick should have a police officer in her city that she can call anytime she needs to be "served and protected!". Many of you may even chose this guy to be your Franchise Player, because he is sure to retire with a pension and good benefits. But sometimes this guy is not as "culturally" aware as the corporate dude, therefore I will keep him as a back-up plan. Also for clarification, if a guy does not have a checking account and prefers to go to the "check cashing place", he then becomes a Basic N*gga!

Point Guard
=========
Intellectual Thug
NBA Inspiration: Derrick Rose (First Draft Pick & Rookie of the Year)

I love Smart Men. I also love Thugs. It's hard to find a guy with a perfect mix, but when I do, he will be my Point Guard. Ultimately I want to settle down with a guy that can run a boardroom as well as navigate the streets. The Point Guard is my main focus and out of all the guys, has the most potential to become my boyfriend. His job is to set the tempo for the game, bring the ball up the floor, get other players involved, distribute the ball and get scoring opportunities for the team. Sometimes he scores, but no matter what he must keep the ball safe and not turn it over. He must totally understand his coach's game plan. Seeing that Point guards are usually evaluated more on their assists ,than on their individual scoring-----if he can not get the job done his behavior will get the ball to the teammate who is in the best position to score. At the same time, if he plays well, in the long run there will be no need for a team because I will settle down with him, but until then, let the games begin!

Now we can't forget about the bench!

6th Man

=======

Street Hustler or "Hood Rat with a Big D*ck" (yes, men are rats too)
NBA Inspiration: Steve Kerr

This guy is a one trick Pony. His role is to come off the bench when you need to change the game and score in a hurry. You can not count on him for anything else but to do what he does.

7th Man
======
White Guy

NBA Inspiration: Tim Duncan

He's a solid hall of fame type player and has all the skills and abilities. Unfortunately, people do not like him or enjoy watching him play because he is so basic and fundamental----that he is a boring!

Fat Girls Are A Man's Best Friend

Anyone who knows me....knows that I have always had a bunch of close male friends. Ever since I was a little girl, members of the male species have always wanted to be my BEST FRIEND. Obviously there's something about me that all men love, and I think I've figured it out.....they love my FAT!!!

Come on...you men all know you have one!!! The fat girl who you hang out with all the time, confide in her about your insecurities and fears, invite her over for quality friendship time. Sometimes she'll even spend the night.....you love to cuddle and feel the jiggly warmth of her fat rolls. And, oh my God...she actually has titties.....big ones....pretty ones....but that's just "your girl"....your "best friend", right?

She's funny, extremely intelligent and you love her! You probably even secretly want to sleep with her, but you can't...she's fat!! Not only will your boys clown you, but you know that if you had to choose one extreme, it is more important to be miserable and bored with a chick with a banging body than it is to be fulfilled and happy with a fat chick!! Plus, you can always have the skinny chick as wifey and keep the fat girl as the "best friend" because your girlfriend would never think you would cheat on her with the Big Girl!! Even though deep in her heart, your girlfriend knows that you love and respect the fat girl in ways that she will never receive..she doesn't mind because after all she's the catch!!!

Recently, a wife of one of my "best male friends" called me to see how comedy was going for me. I told her that I was trying to lose weight and she said "Girl, you ain't hanging around my husband when you lose weight. He loves you too much...and if you get "thick" I know I'm out of the picture!"

Now, I know she was just kidding...but it did make me think...while my weight has been a burden in some ways...it has also made people feel "safe." Will losing weight mean that I will also lose the coveted position of being every man's FAT BEST FRIEND?

DANGER!!! BEWARE !! All men watch out for the shrinking fat girl...you may actually fall in love!!!

Anyway, after years of being the surrogate fat girlfriend for a bunch of guys that secretly love me, but won't date me....you would think that I would be bitter, but I am not!! Actually I feel blessed because I have become an expert on men and relationships. See, I get to know the inner workings of men in ways that no skinny chick ever will. Men tell me everything!!! Even things that their boys will never know about them, they tell me. From my close male friends that work on wall street or play professional sports all the way to my home boy that works in construction, I have the heart of men. I may not get the sex, but I get their respect and love, which many times is more than the women that come and go in their lives ever will.

As a joke, a friend of mine forwarded me an ad on Craigslist. A guy, who is shy and not able to meet women, wanted a BBW to be his wing-man! He actually put up an AD asking for an attractive full-figured woman to go with him to bars and help him meet woman. Ofcourse I could not resist applying for the job! Not because I was really interested, but because I wanted to know why he wanted a fat best female friend.

He told me that full-figured women are much more easy going. He is a former college athlete, who plays ball overseas and he was tired of model chicks because they were high maintanance. He said he enjoyed the company of big girls, and that skinny women also like having big girls as friends because they are less threatening.
So I asked him "If you like the personality of a BBW, how about you put up an AD to date one?"
He responded "Damn, I never thought of that!"

GO FIGURE! (no pun intended!)

I recenlty started attending a fitness bootcamp with a wonderful trainer named Aja Davis (www.ajadavis.com) One day while running around the gym, I realized that I have the possibility to lose more than just weight. It's not just the size of my waist that will change...my relationships...and the way people relate to me will change as well!!!I love all of my male friends....I've been one of the boys so long that I don't know how to be anything else. What will I do if losing weight also means losing the place I have in my boys lives......in their hearts.....Am I ready for that....?

Now, don't get me wrong....plenty of men like BIG GIRLS....and I meet them all the time...so it's not like I've been some ugly duckling that gets no play. And even though most of my close male friends say they are not attracted to BIG GIRLS, many of them have found themselves being attracted to my mind and spirit...and eventually attraction to my body followed....but my weight still held them back...I know it!! So this time..the questions is not "can men and women be friends?"...but instead....Can men and former fat girls stay friends ? We shall see.......I haven't lost any male friends yet...but I did lose 5 more pounds! Thank u AJA DAVIS!!!

**And before wives start calling me...this issue does not apply to my TRUE BLUE male friends that love me like a sister. But the ones it does apply to know who they are...they are constantly offering to buy me a treadmill for my b-day!!

**And also, before you write me saying "I am a big girl, and men love to date me" I GET IT!! I date all the time, and have plenty of male fans! But this blog entry is about the guy who is afraid to go there!!! Not the ones that go there all of the time (if you know what I mean)!

1. What are the major differences between Boot Camp, and a normal work out experience? Are there advantages to going to Boot Camp vs. working out on your own.
There are several main differences between Boot Camp and the normal workout experience or just working out on your own. 1) Pure intensity. Most people don't work out at the intensity that they should in order to get the results that they want. Boot Camp workouts are usually pretty intense. 2) Motivation. How many times have you said to yourself, 'Oh I'll go to the gym tomorrow' or 'I don't feel like doing this last set' and then quit? It has happened to all of us. But at a Bootcamp, you literally have someone over your shoulder making sure that you are giving it your all and that you complete every rep. 3) Boot Camps are fun! They are a way to either start working out or add variety to your current workout routine. You get to be in class with the same people and can develop bonds with others who have the same goals.

2. What is unique about your bootcamp? Why should people chose to attend yours?
In my bootcamp, when I say for all fitness levels, I mean it. I really strive to make sure that everyone is getting a good workout and will feel good about themselves during and after each workout. There is no military drill sargent yelling, but I will get you to do more than you ever thought you could. People often don't realize how truly strong they are until working out with me. I often give exercises where people look at me like I'm crazy and tell me it's impossible, then they do it and are so surprised and happy with themselves. I'm also really particular about your diet. I require each participant keep food journals and review them weekly.

3. Is there anything that I should do to prepare for bootcamp?
The best way to prepare for bootcamp is to clear your calendar and plan to attend to each session. Wear good sneakers and clothes that are not binding and that feel comfortable being in different positions. Get a water bottle (BPA free) and carry with it you EVERYWHERE. Make sure you are properly hydrated. Get plenty of rest. You're going to need it.

4. For a larger person ( 300+ pounds) who may face physical and emotional/mental challenges before starting a work-out program, how can bootcamp be a great start for them?
I think the best thing that bootcamp can do for them is that it shows you exactly what you can do. Like I said earlier, people are surprised about what they discover about themselves when working out. I think many people are simply intimidated and think that they just can't do it. Intimidation is rooted in fear. Fear of what they might look like. Fear of what others will think. Fear of failing. At a bootcamp, you may find yourself in group of people just like you, who are just as afraid. But, you will also look around see everyone giving their all, facing their fears and doing what needs to be done in order to reach their goals.

5. Please tell me about some success stories that you have seen either with bootcamps, or personal training.
Recently, I had a client, a middle-aged woman who was pre-diabetic and had high blood pressure. She had just quit smoking a few months ago and as a result had gained almost 30lbs. Well, I have never seen someone so determined. In her first month working with me she lost 13lbs. Every marker went down, she lost inches around her waist, arms and thighs. I had another woman who I trained privately and in my community fitness program. When she first came to me, she couldn't do a single push-up, couldn't jump rope, couldn't see her feet over her stomach. After a few months, I noticed her bounding around the room, jumping rope like a pro, and her stomach shrunk significantly. It was almost like she was a new person. It just hit me one day while we were working out. She came to me a few days later, beeming, saying that everyone at work had been complimenting her lately on how good she looked. I love that! And so did she.

6. Who is the perfect candidate to attend bootcamp? Are certain personality types or fitness levels more successful than others?
I don't think there is a perfect person to attend bootcamp, just perfect timing. Bootcamp is not for that person who is on the fence about making a change in their lives. When you decide to make that change, when you commit to your health, to your life, then bootcamp is for you. Stubborn personality types tend to do well because the stubborness can be what keeps you going when you want to give up. As for fitness levels, I think those most out of shape see the best results from bootcamps, simply because they have the most gain from starting a workout regimen.

7. Are bootcamps a new fad, or are they here to stay?
Bootcamps are definitely here to stay. People will always want to be challenged and bootcamps are way to provide that challenge.

8. Please tell me anything else you would want me to say about bootcamps, the importance of fitness...etc.....any nice quote that sums up how you feel!

The human body is built to be challenged. Even if you feel like you are in relatively good shape, you can always benefit from pushing yourself a little further. Commitment in a fitness bootcamp is an investment in yourself. Commit and Make it BURN!

"Welcome Fatties"

This is a funny sketch from a TV show over in Britain!!

Have you ever been to a meeting like this before? I HAVE!!!
I went to a Weight Watchers meeting one time where EVERYONE there was skinny, and no one had ever been over a size 8!!! WTF? It was on the Upper East Side....a bunch of skinny white chicks complaining about there "fat" bodies!!!

Watch and enjoy!! It's just for fun!!!
